Our science teachers can cover a wide variety of science
topics. We are more than just "tutors";
we are competent, former ISBE-certificated teachers, and we have been
reviewed and referred by other students, parents and school personnel. Our abilities and knowledge are therefore verifiable
and we are extremely capable of helping you in the areas where you are having
difficulties. We will work one-to-one, ensuring that each
child achieves his or her academic goals. Science need no longer be the scary
and difficult chore it often is claimed to be!
Richard C. Ross
I attained a B.A. from DePauw University
(Greencastle, IN) in 1972 and a Masters from the same school in
1974. Twenty-four of my twenty-five years in education were spent
teaching at Kaneland High School in Maple Park, Illinois. There I
taught Physics I and Physics II (a course which I designed and
wrote the curriculum), Algebra, Geometry, Earth Science, Physical Science, a
General Science survey course and a computer-based Technology lab
class. After school, I coached football for three years and then
golf for nineteen. I also have a successful small business designing
websites and Internet advertising. View complete bio and recommendations.

I
attained an Associate in Science with Honors from College of
DuPage in 1987. I then transferred to the University of
Illinois at Chicago and completed my Bachelor of Science in the
Teaching of Biological Sciences in 1991. I taught Biology,
Physical Science, Anatomy & Physiology at Driscoll Catholic High
School in Addison, IL and Kaneland High School in Maple Park,
IL. While teaching, I was the Student Council Sponsor at
both schools; I was also attending graduate courses at Northern
Illinois University and University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign in pursuit of my Masters in Biology.
